The Task Force on Financial Literacy was created by the federal government in June 2009 to recommend a national strategy for strengthening financial literacy in Canada.
Comprised of 13 members drawn from the business and education sectors, community organizations and academia, the Task Force will be conducting consultations across the country in the spring of 2010 in order to develop its recommendations. It will deliver its findings by the end of 2010 and make the report available to the public, as well as any research commissioned to develop its recommendations.
